Liberal newspapers across the nation are about to hand President Donald Trump a gift.
More than 300 newspapers have committed to a “Boston Globe-coordinated effort” to run editorials on Thursday purportedly to promote the freedom of the press.

But since the motivation behind the plan is to take a stand against the ‘‘dirty war against the free press” brought on, according to the publication, by Trump’s “frequent attacks on the media,” the stunt can only backfire as the president’s criticisms of a biased liberal media are proven.
THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA IS THE OPPOSITION PARTY. It is very bad for our Great Country….BUT WE ARE WINNING!

‘‘We are not the enemy of the people,’’ Marjorie Pritchard, deputy managing editor of the Globe’s opinion page, told the AP last week.
Please join us in standing up for a free press. #EnemyOfNone. https://t.co/Sz8BSHzwiq

The New York Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Denver Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Chicago Sun-Times are joining hundreds of other publications in the initiative which has been promoted by industry groups like the American Society of News Editors.
As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 300 news publications have committed to a Boston Globe-coordinated effort to run editorials Thursday promoting the freedom of the press, in light of President Trump’s frequent attacks on the media. https://t.co/VDpHAHDvuV

The president was ready with a response, rebuking the Globe for being in “collusion” with the other newspapers.
The Boston Globe, which was sold to the the Failing New York Times for 1.3 BILLION DOLLARS (plus 800 million dollars in losses & investment), or 2.1 BILLION DOLLARS, was then sold by the Times for 1 DOLLAR. Now the Globe is in COLLUSION with other papers on free press. PROVE IT!

A few minutes after his Thursday morning tweet, Trump followed with another about the “true freedom of the press.”
There is nothing that I would want more for our Country than true FREEDOM OF THE PRESS. The fact is that the Press is FREE to write and say anything it wants, but much of what it says is FAKE NEWS, pushing a political agenda or just plain trying to hurt people. HONESTY WINS!

Politico’s Jack Shafer believes the press “just played right onto Trump’s hands” and the effort “is sure to backfire.”
“It will provide Trump with circumstantial evidence of the existence of a national press cabal that has been convened solely to oppose him,” Shafer wrote. “When the editorials roll off the press on Thursday, all singing from the same script, Trump will reap enough fresh material to [wail] on the media for at least a month.”
The Globe’s “anti-Trump project is also an exercise in redundancy, not to mention self-stroking,” Shafer argued, adding that the “call for a collective reprimand” in light of all the existing editorials and columns slamming the president just make the Globe’s stunt “all the more pointless.”
“Editorial pages of America, don’t unite! Think for yourselves! Reject this stupid pro-press assignment!” Shafer concluded.
Americans seemed to agree as Twitter users were not impressed with the chest-pounding from the leftist circle of the smug, anti-Trump press.
How is this different than any other day? ?

They call it a coordinated effort.

Collusion by the fake news I’ll continue my right not to read them

You people continue to put down on your President and mind don’t y’all ever get tired of eating your words and crying. You should start giving him credit for the good things he is doing for this country then the citizens might stop calling you fake news

So they have just proved his point
— StillWaters777 (@stillwaters777) August 16, 2018
In an act of unequaled stupidity, 300-500 media outlets will prove everything Trump has said about their colluding against him is true. The ‘free press’ is not free, it is the enemy because it will lose all deniability of that charge. You might as well just burn it all down.

Too funny! Pres Trump says the fake news spews propaganda and they respond by coordinating their propaganda!

The more they attack him, the bigger his base gets. Thank you media for showing your true colors.
