‘Blithering idiot’: Cuomo attempts to ‘clarify’ America ‘was never great’ comment, but only makes it worse

No telling what Gov. Andrew Cuomo was thinking when he bashed America but his attempt to fix things just made it worse.

New York’s Democratic governor dug himself a little deeper into a hole after trying to clarify an insult to the nation he made when he tried to bash President Donald Trump.

At an event announcing the signing of a bill to combat human trafficking, Cuomo took a left turn and unloaded in a tirade against Trump. Taking aim at the president’s slogan, “Make America great again,” the liberal governor continued.

“And look, the simple point is all this comes down to this: We’re not gonna make America great again. It was never that great. We have not reached greatness. We will reach greatness when every American is fully engaged,” he said.

Cuomo’s team went into damage-control.

But the clarifications only seemed to make things worse for Cuomo.
