Less than half of millennial women identify as feminist, according to a CBS News poll published Monday.

Forty-six percent of millennials — women aged 18 to 35 — identify as feminist, according to the CBS poll. Additionally, 63 percent of female millennial Democrats identify as feminist while 48 percent of such Independents identify as feminist. Only 29 percent of millennial Republican women consider themselves feminist.

CBS conducted its poll by interviewing 2,093 U.S. adult women between July 26 and 30.

The poll reported that half of the millennial women surveyed agreed that the #MeToo movement will “make things better for women” in the long run. Thirty-nine percent of women aged 36 to 49 also agreed, compared to 41 percent of 50 to 64 year-olds. Only 40 percent of women 65 or older concurred with the statement.

The poll does not elaborate on what would improve for women from the #MeToo movement.

The sample of women answered other questions, including whether electing more women to political office would ensure “things would be better.” Seventy-six percent of Democrats said more women in office would improve things, while just 25 percent of Republican women concurred.

Only 18 percent of adult women have a favorable view of Ivanka Trump, while 36 percent of adult women are undecided, according to the poll.

Monday’s poll comes after a prominent feminist found herself in her own #MeToo moment. New York University (NYU) suspended prominent feminist professor Avital Ronell after a Title IX investigation found her guilty of sexual harassing Nimrod Reitman, a former male student, The New York Times reported Monday.
