Florida sheriff tells Al Sharpton to go home and ‘mind your own business’ after he shows up to hold rally

Al Sharpton’s grandstanding wasn’t appreciated by a Florida sheriff who told the liberal provocateur to … go home.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri answered reporters’ questions on Monday including a few about Sharpton’s Justice for Markeis McGlocktin rally that took place on Sunday.

The sheriff’s office has come under fire for not immediately making an arrest after McGlockton was shot dead in a Clearwater parking lot, Fox 13 reported.

Gualtieri says the shooter, Michael Drejka, wasn’t arrested because he feared for his life and claims he is protected under the state’s Stand Your Ground Law.

That didn’t stop Sharpton from marching down to Florida to hold a rally demanding that Gualtieri hand over his badge unless Drejka is arrested.

When asked about Sharpton’s comments the Florida Sheriff didn’t hold back.

“It’s a bunch of rhetoric. I don’t pay much attention to it, to tell you the truth. I wasn’t there, and I don’t really care what Al Sharpton has to say,” the sheriff said. “Go back to New York; mind your own business.”

When Sharpton was asked about Gualtieri’s comments, his team pulled the race card and told the Tampa Bay Times that the sheriff’s comments are like “those of sheriffs out of the 1960’s that called civil rights leaders invited by victims ‘outside agitators.’”

Or, it could be that the sheriff did his due diligence and was abiding by the law. It’s more than likely Gualtieri is well aware of Sharpton’s antics and sent a message to the professional agitator to steer clear.

Meanwhile, conservative activist Candace Owens was ran out of a Philadelphia restaurant and screamed at by a bunch of young, white Antifa thugs. The unhinged mob also screamed racial comments towards the majority black police unit that was protecting Owens and her friend and colleague Charlie Kirk.

Instead of addressing the issue in Philly, Sharpton has vowed to keep returning to Clearwater until charges against Drejka are filed, Fox 13 reported.

The case is likely to become a political issue ahead of the midterms and Governor’s race. Five Fla. Democrat gubernatorial candidates showed up to Sharpton’s rally on Sunday.

Gualtieri told Fox 13 they were politicking and added, “The facts and the law matter. Learn the facts and learn the law, and then you can opine.”
