Chalk it up as a good-natured joke that misfired, even if a remark Fox News’ Jesse Watters made about Jeanine Pirro did draw a brush-back pitch from his colleague.
Watters played a clip on “Watters World” of President Donald Trump giving a shout out to his favorite Fox News personalities at a rally in Ohio Saturday night, including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson. trump also mentioned the “Fox & Friends” crew, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade — Pirro, one of his most ardent supporters, did not warrant a mention.
“Well Judge Jeanine’s very upset because she was not mentioned there by the president,” Watters joked afterwards. “I think I heard her throw a glass in the green room.”
Pirro, whose show follows Watters, was apparently paying attention, as she took to Twitter to respond.
“really? I ‘wasn’t happy and threw a glass in the green room’. You’re adding credence to the concept of fake news,” she tweeted.

While it’s impossible to assign the emotions behind the tweet, whether is was a gentle rebuke, an equally good-natured ribbing or an outright slam, one thing is certain, the remark got the judge’s attention.
Which, in turn, got Watters’ attention.
“‘Justice with Judge Jeanine’ is next, and by the way, she never threw anything against the wall in the green room, I was kidding,” he said with a chuckle while signing off.
“That was a joke. Judge Jeanine is the best,” Watters added in a show of deference. “We love her — I love her — and I know she knows that.”
Not that social media users weren’t up for having fun egging on a confrontation, as seen below.
“Jeanine- I don’t want to speak out of turn here, but Jesse also said your last facelift was performed by an undertrained taxidermist. You gonna let that go? I hope not,” a tweet read.
