CNN’s Jake Tapper went there in criticizing the Obamas and set himself up as a target for angry Democrats who were instantly triggered by his truth bomb.

Tapper called out the former president for effectively fiddling while the Democratic Party burns, reacting to a story in Huffington Post showing the former first couple at a concert over the weekend by Jay-Z and Beyonce.

“The Democratic Party is the weakest it has been since the 1920s, but… ” Tapper tweeted with an emoji of a person shrugging.

The CNN host included the link for the HuffPost report which was captioned: “The Obama were spotted dancing to “N***as in Paris” at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s show on Saturday. ”

The Obamas “are living their best life,” one fan tweeted.

Concert-goers were thrilled to see the couple and shared video footage of them from the show at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

CNN contributor April Ryan touted the “amazing show” and the presence of the Obamas.

At one of the tour’s Paris shows earlier this month, the former first lady was seen with daughter Sasha and Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson.

Tapper’s critical tweet, however, was not welcomed by the left which seem to have emotional breakdowns at the very mention of the Obamas.

With more than 2,000 retweets and nearly 8,000 likes on Twitter, Tapper’s tweet drew heavy fire from liberals who were enraged at the attack on their beloved former leader.

Tapper answered some critics directly, pointing out how some Democrats “seem angrier at my tweet” than at the fact that Obama “presided over a historically precipitous decline of his party.”

Tapper’s valid tweet, which may have been based on a Politifact fact-check of a statement by his  colleague Fareed Zakaria, was stomped on by Obama fans.

And for those on the other side of the political divide, watching the left attack their own was another example of the their hypocrisy.
