Fox News’ Tucker Carlson nailed Democrats for making immigration the “only issue” that matters and sent liberals into a tailspin over his “extreme rhetoric.”
Carlson opened his show Thursday with a look back at how the Democratic Party’s priorities have changed over the last few years, leading them to seemingly care more about foreigners than Americans.
“Their focus was always clear: American citizens were the Party’s priority,” he explained. “that is no longer the case. To the modern Democratic Party, Americans are an after-thought.”
He challenged viewers to find a Democrat running for election this year on issues like the declining middle class or the opioid crisis.
“Hard to find one. Democrats are bored with these topics,” Carlson said. “What interests them is power. ”
Democrats need “reliable new voters” who won’t make “difficult demands” in order to win and maintain power, he said, explaining that this is the reason Democrats “suddenly support open borders so fervently.”
“Immigration is really the only issue that matters to them because packing the electorate is the only way to regain control of this country,” Carlson added. “Their goal is clear and they will do or say anything to achieve it.”
CNN’s Brian Stelter, who must not be watching the biased programming on his own network, slammed Carslon’s monologue in a tweet quoting the Fox News host.
Can you imagine talking this way? Such extreme rhetoric all the time? Tucker Carlson just now: “To the modern Democratic Party, Americans are an afterthought.” pic.twitter.com/xUiKYby2SO

CNBC’s Chief Washington Correspondent, John Harwood, was equally horrified, responding to Stelter’s tweet with a one-word assessment.

Liberals have a conveniently selective memory, apparently forgetting the unhinged “extreme rhetoric” by Democrats like Rep. Maxine Waters who last month called for aggressive confrontation of Trump White House members. New Jersey Sen, Cory Booker this week urged supporters to be more proactive in their political involvement, directing them to “get up in the face of congress people.”
Carlson continued to make his point, airing a clip of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo accusing Trump of being on a “jihad” to “deport as many people as he can.”
Not too long ago, Democrats like former President Bill Clinton contended that illegal immigrants should be deported. Now, Carlson noted, cities like San Francisco have made a way for those in the U.S. illegally to be given the voting rights afforded to citizens.
“Allowing illegals to occupy and run our country makes a mockery of citizenship,” he said noting that it’s not only “terrible for America,” it is also “a death sentence for the Republican Party,” which appears to be complicit in Democrats’ plan to alter U.S. immigration policy.
Liberals cried foul over Carlson’s smear of the Democratic Party and, predictably, turned to personal smears of the Fox News host as a way to retaliate.
What’s disturbing is that several million people listen to Tucker Carlson every week night. We are living in a dangerous time. When truth and verifiable facts don’t matter democracy whithers and we know what follows that. https://t.co/jZmexPpGAn

Partisans like Carlson are waging a dangerous war that cannot be won unless winning means breaking up the United States. The majority of Americans will not sit by and let the truth die.

Tucker is actively working to deceive the American people.

Is there a single reasonable American that actually takes Tucker Carlson seriously? Or do they just view him as a culture war entertainer? Such over the top hysterical rhetoric, night after night. #TuckerCarlson #WhiteCultureWarrior https://t.co/JswXTQO0oQ

Many others agreed with Carlson, however, and called out the hypocrisy of the more-than-complicit liberal media.
The Democrat Party (and a good chunk of the GOP) thinks illegal aliens simply don’t have to obey the law. The former wants the votes of dependents, the latter wants cheap labor. And you shill for this invasion. Stop pretending you don’t know what you are working for.

Extreme rhetoric. Like calling millions of Americans Nazis and racists, claiming every policy and SC nominee will literally kill everyone off? Like 24/7 nonstop negative coverage of Republicans?

Tucker does a magnificent job of making the Democrats look like idiots. Actually, they do it themselves

Tucker Carlson is correct. The Democrat Party has nothing to offer the American citizen.
