A group of 11 GOP Congressmen led by Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows filed articles of impeachment against deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.
The filing accuses the Obama holdover of repeatedly hiding information from Congress, obstructing their oversight duties by defying multiple subpoenas, and abusing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to illegally spy on former Trump campaign aides.
“We have had enough,” Meadows tweeted. Jordan added, “We can’t get answers for the American people if we can’t get information from the DOJ. It’s time to impeach Rod Rosenstein.”
I just filed a resolution with @Jim_Jordan and several colleagues to impeach Rod Rosenstein. The DOJ has continued to hide information from Congress and repeatedly obstructed oversight–even defying multiple Congressional subpoenas.
We have had enough.

We can't get answers for the American people if we can't get information from the DOJ.

The impeachment could result in Rosenstein being held in contempt of Congress or being forcibly removed from office.
Congressman Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that enough is enough.
“For nine months we’ve asked for documents. That’s all we want,” Meadows said. “Not only have subpoenas been ignored, but information has been hidden. Efforts have been stonewalled. They may be able to ignore Congress, but they can’t ignore the American people.”
Jordan agreed. “We are tired of the Justice Department giving us the finger and not giving us the information we are entitled to do to do our constitutional duty,” he said. Jordan continued:
“We have sent numerous letters to subpoenas they haven’t complied with. We have caught the Department of Justice hiding information, redacting information they shouldn’t have.
We know that Rod Rosenstein threatened House Committee Intel staffers when they were trying to do their job. We know what the Justice Department did with the dossier.
Rod Rosenstein signed the third renewal based on the [discredited Trump] dossier, parts of which came from Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie…The whole ordeal. The American people are sick of it.”
One glaring example of the DOJ slow-walking document requests involved disgraced former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was fired for lying to the FBI.
As BizPac Review previously reported, McCabe — an Obama holdover — used taxpayer money to buy a $70,000 conference table and then tried to hide it from Congress.

McCabe’s FBI cronies redacted the table’s outrageous price tag when they turned over documents that the Senate Judiciary Committee had requested for months.
The redactions caused a massive delay in the FBI handing over the documents to the committee, which oversees the agency. These are the kind of obstructionist shenanigans that Rosenstein is accused of allowing.
