Maxine Waters tries to distance herself from flag-burning supporters

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif, tweeted out a statement attempting to distance herself from supporters who burned an American flag outside her office last week.

Waters said the group of radical leftists protesting at her Los Angeles office turned out “not so much in support of me, but to seek press attention in furtherance of their own agendas.”

An American flag was burned at last week’s protest to protest a protest — specifically a planned protest by an Oath Keepers group.

Waters did post a tweet urging supporters to stay away from the Oath Keepers event, which never materialized.

But they showed up anyway, with unruly pro-Waters radicals out to support “Queen Maxine” setting fire to Old Glory and shouting “America was never great!” and “black power!”

Not only did the Democratic lawmaker distance herself from the demonstrators who hate America, she wrapped herself in the U.S. Constitution while doing so.

“While I do not agree with torching the flag as a form of protest, I understand the Constitution guarantees everyone the right to this form of free expression,” Waters said.

As BizPac Review previously reported, Maxine Waters incited liberals to harass and intimidate Trump aides, not allowing them to eat or do anything in public without being bullied by an angry mob.

The one consistency in all madness is the desire by social media users who support President Donald Trump for Waters to keep stoking the unhinged behavior, as it all but assures 4 more years.

Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
