While the liberal media has forgotten about the favorable overtures toward Russia during the Obama years, a represented by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s infamous “reset button,” President Donald Trump has not.
Being bludgeoned by the press over his stance toward Russia, Trump shared a video clip of Clinton talking about strengthening Russia.
“Will the Dems and Fake News ever learn? This is classic!” the president tweeted.
“We want very much to have a strong Russia because a strong, confident, prosperous, stable Russia is, we think, in the interests of the world,” Clinton said in the 2010 clip of an interview with a TV station partially owned by the Russian government.
This sentiment echoed the position of her boss at the time, President Barack Obama, who spoke of a “deep respect for Russia’s timeless heritage” during a 2009 speech at the New Economic School in Moscow, with Obama saying the world benefits “from a strong and vibrant Russia.”
Further exposing the bias being seen today by a backward looking media is another clip of Clinton calling Russia an “ally” in 2012, saying that it’s “somewhat dated to be looking backwards” in our relationship with Moscow.
This little gem was posted on Twitter by the Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra:
Hillary in 2012 on Russia: "Russia has been an ally. They're in the P-5+1 talks with us, they have worked with us in Afghanistan and have been very helpful in the Northern Distribution Network and in other ways. So I think it's somewhat dated to be looking backwards…" pic.twitter.com/3N3AuGaXSr

Turns out, Hillary took exception to being trolled by President Trump and responded with a video clip of her own hitting him for his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The difference being, the soundbite is from a 2016 stump speech when Clinton was up against Trump for president.
That’s a clip from when Medvedev was president. Here’s what I said about Putin’s Russia. pic.twitter.com/a0bIeg1kZ4

Clinton noted that the comments Trump shared were made when Dmitry Medvedev was president of Russia — not that the entire world didn’t understand he was but a place holder until Putin was eligible to run again.
Lost in mix is that the Russian meddling at the center of the controversy was taking place under the Obama administration, even as then President Obama declared that “no serious person” would suggest that “you could even rig America’s elections.”
Here a sampling of responses from social media users to the latest media-drummed hysteria over Trump and his actions:

It’s only ok when a Democrat approves and works with Putin.

Then when she lost the election, Russia became world enemy number 1

HRC has always been pro Russia. It’s only since President Trump was elected that she has voiced anti-Russia rhetoric to keep people hating our President. Hillary is a horrible person!

She knows she said this in the past but accuses Trump for working with Russia, The Hypocrisy is so thick but they know the media will never challenge her. But you do @RealSaavedra. You’re doing great.

These are the lies of a desperate opponent who has just realized that she may not win, 8 days before the election. Dems are still trying to prove her words true. Yet, no one had a problem with the Reagan/Gorbachev relationship. Then again, there were no Hillary’s at that time. pic.twitter.com/sUA38qCbcF

And lest we forget…
I'll just drop this right here, lest anyone forget…
Only CREDIBLE link to Russia is Hillary's — who made herself $145 Million RICHER when she transferred 20% of our uranium to Putin…FOR PERSONAL GAIN.#UraniumOne #TuesdayThoughts #MAGA #WitchHunt pic.twitter.com/UsChKmzhaE
