Lou Dobbs slams hyperbolic media ‘morons’ over Trump-Putin summit: ‘This is stupid stuff!’

Fox Business Networks’ Lou Dobbs was not buying what the rest of the mainstream media was selling over Trump’s meeting with Putin.

As the media hyperventilated over the highly publicized summit, Dobbs slammed the ‘morons’ who he felt were making much ado about nothing.

Dobbs played clips by some of the “morons”, including CNN’s Anderson Cooper who called Trump’s appearance at the summit a “disgraceful performance.”

“All he had to do was not, you know, put on jammies and crawl under covers with Vladimir Putin,” Nicole Wallace bellowed.

Not willing to play along with the Left’s “Surrender Summit” narrative, Dobbs slammed his media counterparts. “What do they call it when Barack Obama said, to Medvedev, ‘tell Vladimir Putin I can be more flexible after the election?'” Dobbs asked.

New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin agreed with Dobbs about the media’s hyperbolic reaction over the summit but admitted that he believed Trump “missed an opportunity” to clarify issues of Russian meddling and the 2016 presidential election.

“I think that president did miss an opportunity to put the meddling question to bed,” Goodwin said. “He should separate issues, whether Russia meddled and whether he won the election unfairly. I think the first one, he can say ‘yes.’ But Trump can also argue, I got the votes, I won the election fair and square, Russians did not prevent Hillary Clinton from going to Wisconsin.”

After Dobbs pointed out that the only votes that were stolen were taken from Bernie Sanders by the DNC, guest Ed Collins chimed in with a dig at Trump.

“This is an important day for him. My sense is, Teddy Roosevelt, said speak softly carry a big stick, he spoke softly, I think he left his stick in the golf bag in Scotland,” Collins said.

Dobbs said he wasn’t in agreement with his guests and argued that Trump handled himself “perfectly.”

“I think that president handled himself perfectly. What would it have taken to satisfy the morons on the clips? And what is his name Brennan? He’s the biggest joke I have ever seen.

“What is he [Trump] supposed to say — we’re going to settle this now!? Toe-to-toe with Ruskies?  This beyond the pale as far as I’m concerned. This is stupid stuff!

“He is beginning a relationship with Putin.”

Dobbs asked, “where are the servers?” And demanded to know why no one was asking for the basis of the indictment of 12 Russian officials?

“It’s hearsay for crying out loud!” Dobbs said.

He finally asked his guests what Trump could have done differently to placate his adversaries.

“To your first point, there is nothing he could do that would satisfy CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, The Washington Post,” Collins agreed before stating that Trump needs to be “tough” with the Russians.

Dobbs got the last word reiterating that Trump was being unfairly slammed by the media and claimed that there was nothing he could have done differently to satisfy them.

Meanwhile, the media completely glossed over a bombshell dropped by Putin when he claimed the Hillary Clinton campaign had received an illegal contribution of 400,000.00 from a Fusion-GPS connected banker.
