The White House canceled an interview between National Security Advisor John Bolton and CNN after Jim Acosta disrupted President Trump’s joint press conference with British prime minister Theresa May by repeatedly yelling out questions.
The brouhaha erupted after President Trump called on Fox News reporter John Roberts, who had raised his hand to ask a question. An impatient Acosta repeatedly shouted out questions even though he wasn’t called on. That outburst caused Trump to respond by saying: “CNN is fake news. I don’t take questions from CNN.”
The next day, the White House reacted to Acosta’s grandstanding by canceling a scheduled interview with John Bolton. WH press secretary Sarah Sanders explained: “A CNN reporter disrespected @POTUS and PM May during their press conf. Instead of rewarding bad behavior, we decided to reprioritize the TV appearances for administration officials.”

Predictably, liberals on Twitter trashed Sanders. Leftist blogger Charles Pierce quipped, “Shut your cakehole, Nasty Vacation Bible School Lady.”

Never-Trumper David Jolly, a former one-term congressman, slammed Sanders’ “absolute garbage statement.”

Washington Post blogger Brian Klaas rewrote history by claiming Acosta had “politely tried to ask a question to Trump.” Look at the video playback, Klaas, and take several seats.
Acosta politely tried to ask a question to Trump (which is his job). Trump is speaking about Acosta when he calls the press "the enemy of the people," "scum," and a "stain on America." And you're saying it was Acosta who was disrespectful? Give us a break. You have no credibility https://t.co/JiPKD1pSXA

Conservatives applauded Sanders for teaching CNN that childish outbursts (like elections) have consequences.
“Looks like Acosta and CNN got put in another timeout… ha!!,” one person tweeted.

You gotta admit, Jim Acosta is very rude and disrespectful. He loves to showboat, just for the attention.

Mike Cernovich reminded the mainstream media how they demanded the firing of a Daily Caller reporter for yelling out questions to former president Barack Obama.
Cernovich tweeted: “Remember when y’all encouraged the Daily Caller to fire a reporter for ‘heckling’ Obama? What that reporter did was mild to what we see in today’s press room.”
Conservatives correctly pointed out that the showboating antics displayed by liberal reporters like Jim Acosta would never have been tolerated under Obama. But they’re everyday occurrences among today’s leftist media, who are political activists masquerading as “journalists.”

Flashback: In June, Acosta bragged on a hot mic that he intentionally disrupted the historic summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un as petty revenge for him not being allowed to sit in on their meeting.
Acosta was heard bragging: “Hey, if they’re not going to let me in the f*cking meeting, that’s what happens. That’s the way it goes, baby.”

Here’s what the TV ratings look like every day (in millions of viewers). Sean Hannity’s show has more than three times the audience of Chris Cuomo’s CNN happy hour.
Fox News beats CNN every hour of the day, thanks to showboating political activists like Acosta. Great job, Jim!
