Instead of celebrating President Donald Trump’s historic meeting Friday with Queen Elizabeth II, leftists took to social media to complain about his alleged lack of matters. According to them, Trump spoke incorrectly, walked incorrectly and probably even breathed incorrectly.
Consider the following clip from the The Daily Telegraph that complained about the president and his wife, first lady Melania Trump, not bowing to the queen when they first met her:
The Telegraph shared the video to Twitter Friday afternoon and captioned it with the question, “Did Donald Trump forget to bow to the Queen?”
In response, leftist airheads rushed to lambaste Trump for being a “just plain disrespectful” and “ignorant” “man-child,” among other things.
Conservatives then swooped in to drop some truth bombs on them, including this one from David Boaz of the Cato Institute: “We’re not her subjects.”
‘Others online also debated whether Trump and first lady Melania Trump broke with royal protocol when they opted to shake hands with the queen instead of bowing or curtsying.’ This is in fact what Americans do. We’re not her subjects. https://t.co/xe4shnyHFQ

Americans bow to one royal being: God.
We bow to no man. Geez. https://t.co/IfptgGqmfs

He’s a head of state. He doesn’t need to bow to the queen. Didn’t we settle this over 200 years ago already? https://t.co/UPS1L5gscf

By no means was The Daily Telegraph the only left-wing purvey of news to question Trump’s manners. The Independent, Harper’s Bazaar, Newsweek, USA Today, The New York Times and many others all found something to complain about. So did the leftists on social media.
Their biggest complaint was that the president briefly walked in front of the queen as they inspected her honor guard.
No big deal, right? Tell that to the hundreds of Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted leftists who literally became hysterical over this faux pas.
He is trying to display dominance to his supporters back home, or to possibly amuse #Putin:But he’s just showing his ignorance once again. Trump is rude & vile. He will NEVER be co-equal to #QueenElizabethII,or even worth the nail clippings from her hands.https://t.co/92WcYNbKu5

Beyond protocol, it’s a simple question of manners and class. She’s 20 yrs older than you. Show some respect, you #ignoranttwat. @realDonaldTrump Walks in Front of Queen Elizabeth, Causing Social Media Frenzy via @NYTimes https://t.co/1M4gcLvhxc

Just when I think my Outrage Meter is burned out, this woman who has offered decades of service to her people gets elbowed out of the way by a guy who has never given anything to anyone. “Trump Walks in Front of Queen Elizabeth, Causing Social Media Frenzy”https://t.co/rgHMTEHVXz

Except that even CNN admitted in a report Saturday that Trump did nothing wrong: “[W]hile Trump raised eyebrows by walking in front of the Queen — he didn’t technically break royal protocol, according to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams.”
Nice try, though, liberals, but it looks like you’ll have to find something else to complain about. Sad!
