DHS boss Kirstjen Nielsen driven out of restaurant, ambushed by protesters: ‘If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace’

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was driven out of a restaurant by a group of socialist protesters bent on not letting her “eat in peace.”

The angry socialist mob harassed Nielsen at MXDC Cocina Mexicana, disrupting her dinner and that of other diners in the restaurant near the White House, Fox News reported.

The protesters apparently knew where the DHS secretary was going to be and staged the attack amid backlash over the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The protest was captured on video posted by the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America, which took credit for staging the disruption.

We’re in downtown DC disrupting DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s dinner at MXDC. The irony isn’t lost on us that this is a Mexican restaurant. Nielsen has led the program to tear apart familes. We are here to tell her to put an end to separating families, to step down as head of the department, and that ICE and CBP must be abolished #abolishICE #abolishCBP

“Shame!,” the protesters shouted repeatedly at Nielsen, while another bellowed, “Kirstjen Nielsen, you’re a villain! Lock her up!”

“If kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace,” another yelled.

“How can you enjoy a Mexican dinner as you’re deporting and imprisoning tens of thousands of people that come here seeking asylum in the United States?” one person could be heard berating Nielsen. “We call on you to end family separation and abolish ICE.”

Another apparently was horrified by Nielsen’s choice of dining fare.

“In a Mexican restaurant, of all places!,” the protester shouted. “The f—–g gall!”

Nielsen eventually left the restaurant, as seen in another video.

The Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists defended their actions, declaring they would “not stand by and let Secretary Nielsen dine in peace.”

Nielsen was having “a work dinner” at the time, according to DHS press secretary Tyler Q. Houlton, who said she  shared their concerns and would continue “working with Members of Congress for months in search of a solution” to the immigration policy which temporarily separates children from parents facing prosecution for breaking the law by entering the country illegally.

Ultra-feminist Jessica Valenti cheered the attack on another woman.

Many Twitter users condemned the stunt as well as reactions by those like Valenti.
