Dana Loesch gave a speech in Dallas on Thursday evening and called for conservative women to come together and “never bow before the outrage mob on any issue.”

The political commentator and NRA spokeswoman addressed a crowd of more than 1,000 women at Turning Point USA’s fourth annual Young Women’s Leadership Summit, reports the Dallas Morning News. The conference hosts a series of speakers, networking events and professional development training.

Loesch, who has been wrapped into a recent slew of school shootings, defended herself and the right to a firearm, brushing off the criticism and urging others to do so as well.

“I held my head high. I am not ashamed. I am not scared. And I will not apologize for defending my right of self defense.” Loesch said. “Never ever bow a knee. Never bend a knee. Never bow before the outrage mob on any issue. Ever. Know that you are in truth. What you believe is right.”

She also emphasized the importance of grace during disagreement, encouraging conservative women to lift each other up and to mentor one another rather than criticize. “It’s always good to take up disagreements with friends privately,” Loesch advised. “My dear friend and former mentor Andrew Breitbart believed that. And they also discussed it in the gospels, so that’s the final word on that.”

Earlier in the night, Loesch told the crowd, “when you’re taking flack you’re over the target, ladies, and that’s exactly where you need to be.”
