SoKo president praises NoKo summit, credits Trump for accomplishing a ‘feat no one else ever delivered’

Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae-in talk in May before the peace summit with President Trump.

In the wake of historic peace talks between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jung Un , South Korean President Moon Jae-in released a glowing statement about the summit and what it could mean for the future.

President Moon said he cautiously predicted the success of the summit and praised both leaders for having the “courage” to take a “daring step toward change.”

Admitting that it’s difficult to trust the North Korean regime after years of “hostility,”  Moon said the summit was none-the-less a huge move for those around the world who desire peace.

Moon also credited Trump for accomplishing what no else has been able to.

“Once again, I would like to pay my respect to President Trump who achieve a feat that no one else has ever delivered,” the statement read.

Moon Jae echoed the sentiment expressed by Kim Jong Un at a joint declaration signing with Trump, when he stated that he was ready to put the past behind him.

“Building upon the agreement reached today, we will take a new path going forward,” Moon stated. “Leaving dark days of war and conflict behind, we will write a new chapter of peace and cooperation. We will be there together with North Korea along the way.”

In a seperate statement South Korean officials expressed some apprehension over Trump’s announcement to suspend joint military exercises on the Korean peninsula. “At this point, we need to find out the precise meaning or intentions of President Trump’s remarks,” a spokesman for the South’s presidential Blue House said, according to Reuters.

In the meantime, the left is having a hard time coming to grips over the succesful summit as one astute Twitter user noted:

The liberal media has been on an all out assault against Trump’s accomplishments. Folks demanded that Jim Acosta’s press credentials be pulled after he exhibited some reprehensible behavior during the peace talks.

Thankfully, there are level-headed minds out there:
