One photo from the G7 summit is so priceless, it’s viral and ‘worth the whole 4 years’

A photo from the G-7 economic summit released Saturday by Germany wound up earning President Donald Trump widespread praise from his most fervent supporters, including Hollywood actor James Wood.

The viral photo showed the president sitting with his arms crossed, fearlessly facing officials from other Group of Seven nations. At the head of the international contingent stood German Chancellor Angela Merkel leaning forward on a table, staring at the president with a look of utter defeat.

Look:

This photo impressed Woods so mightily because it demonstrated Trump’s unflinching commitment to always prioritize America’s interests, even when doing so means exasperating other world leaders.

It also showed that the president cannot be bought with gifts or kind words. CNN notes that other world leaders have “been extremely deferential,” have “taken his daughter out to dinner and championed her causes” and have “pointed out the very long historical ties between their countries” in bids to impress Trump.

But none of these gestures have worked. Trump continues to launch new tariffs, tear up lousy treaties and demand better of other world leaders because — unlike other politicians — he cares more about protecting America’s interests than benefiting personally from the fruits of politics.

Besides showing the rest of the world that neither he nor America are the world’s pets, Trump’s also inadvertently helped inspire a plethora of hilarious memes.

Here are some of the latest Trump memes to pop up on Twitter:

Alana Mastrangelo of the Washington Examiner said it best in a tweet posted Saturday night: “See the frustration on the faces of all those Euro elites? That’s because when they meet Trump, they’re not dealing with another politician, they’re dealing with the American people.”

Trump won the election two years ago in part because he so successfully resonated with the American people, who appreciated his frank assessments and straight-forward proposals.

Unlike both America’s former presidents and other world leaders — especially Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — the president never minces his words. He keeps it real, as the urchins are wont to say, and it’s worked well for him thus far.

Dovetailing back to Woods’ tweet, take a closer look at what he wrote: “This one photo is worth the whole four years, even if he doesn’t get re-elected.”

Though it’s possible Trump might lose the 2020 election, at this rate there’s a higher chance he WILL be reelected.
