Comey’s delusions of grandeur get the best of him, he fires off embarrassing tweet about G7 summit

Fired FBI director James Comey tweeted another anti-Trump message during the G7 summit in a desperate bid to make headlines during his flailing book tour.

Comey passive-aggressively dissed President Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on Canada in response to Canada’s 270% tariff on U.S. dairy exports. “This too shall pass,” Comey tweeted along with an old photo of himself surrounded by security guards, as he were a world leader instead of an FBI has-been being accused of treason.

As BizPac Review has reported, President Trump decided to impose tariffs on aluminum and steel imports from Canada in response to Canada’s 270% tariff on U.S. dairy products.

Many liberals, including Arizona Senator John McCain, slammed Trump, saying the United States should continue to make lopsided, unfair trade deals that benefit our foreign trading partners at the expense of Americans.

President Trump said this self-destructive trade policy ends with him.

“People can’t charge us 270% and we charge them nothing. That doesn’t work anymore,” Trump said at the G7 Summit this week. “We are like the piggy bank that everybody is robbing. And that ends.”

Many on Twitter mocked Comey’s self-aggrandizing tweet.

One person wrote: “YOUR PRISON SENTENCE IS ON THE HORIZON. There’s going to be a rush on orange jumpsuits, you better get your order in.”

Judicial Watch continues to ride Comey with an avalanche of damaging FOIA requests.

Another person noted that Comey has a delusional sense of his own importance: “We don’t consider you when we make our decision.”

One Twitter user asked: “Is that Shawshank behind you, Jim?”

Civil Watchdog quipped: “In light of recent #IGReport DOJ internal watchdog revelations, James Comey’s publisher has issued a revised version of his book.”

Elizabeth Rogers posted a meme that speaks for tens of millions of Americans.

Then there’s this.

Meanwhile, many of Comey’s former FBI colleagues are upset that he’s damaging the agency’s image with his shameless self-promotion and childish antics.

“I’ve talked to quite a few former FBI high-ranking sources [about James Comey],” a CNN reporter recounted. “They are not happy about this because they feel it crosses the line of professionalism…When he says these things and goes this far, it further hurts their reputation short-term and long-term.”

Eat it, Comey.
