Though the scandal surrounding former Democrat information technology aide Imran Awan is just now beginning to get noticed for some reason, it’s been brewing for years.
The Daily Caller has been tenaciously reporting the details as the FBI has been investigating Awan and his family — all of whom were employed as server administrators for Democrats. The inspector general informed Congress two years ago that the family was suspected of illegally accessing congressional servers.
It’s believed Awan’s family logged into the House Democrat Caucus’ server 7,000 times without authorization from late 2015 to mid 2016, which incidentally coincided with the time period during which the Democrat National Committee was hacked.
“Excessive logons are an indication that the server is being used for nefarious purposes and elevated the risk that individuals could be reading and/or removing information,” the IG told Congress in 2016.
But, after the IG alerted Congress to Awan’s actions: The server completely disappeared. Senior government officials confirmed to conservative media outlets in early 2017 that the server had been physically stolen.
The theft occurred weeks before then-Rep. Xavier Becerra, the then-chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, resigned from his post to become California’s attorney general.
Prior to his departure, Becerra was informed by the authorities that they needed a copy of the Democrat’s server. But instead of providing a copy of the actual server, Becerra’s staff unknowingly gave authorities a falsified, fake image of the server.
That fake image was provided to Becerra’s staff by who other than Awan and his family, whom the House Democratic Caucus had still trusted, despite the growing evidence against them.
What remains unclear to this day is whether the Democrats are that stunningly naive and stupid that they fell for Awan’s every lie hook, line and sinker, or whether the Democrats’ purposefully colluded with Awan’s family to protect them from prosecution.

It’s already been confirmed that disgraced former Democrat National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to shut down the investigation into Awan’s family, accusing investigators of being “Islamophobes.”
Recall also that this is the same party whose former presidential nominee scrubbed a server clean before turning it over to investigators to protect herself from prosecution.
It’s almost funny how Democrats constantly accuse Republicans — particularly President Donald Trump — of being corrupt, all while they themselves continually exhibit the very behavior one would expect of a corrupt bureaucrat.
