Ex-sailor suing Obama explains why he’s fighting, why he’d stop, and why he thinks a bombshell’s on the horizon

A former Navy sailor recently pardoned by President Trump called out fired FBI Director James Comey as a “domestic enemy,” explaining that he is “fighting for the average American citizen” with his lawsuit against the Obama administration.

Kristian Saucier claimed he was subject to unequal protection of the law in how the Obama administration treated him and is suing former President Obama and James Comey for glaring double standards.

Saucier was pardoned by President Trump earlier this year after he spent one year in federal prison for taking some souvenir photos aboard the nuclear submarine where he worked, a sentence Trump thought was too harsh. The 32-year-old lost his home and car in due to the financial struggle he went through with his wife and young daughter as a result of the sentence and other-than-honorable discharge.

But, according to the former Navy sailor, the same Obama officials who decided his fate and punished him for taking six photos of a classified area onboard the U.S.S. Alexandria to show his family where he worked, chose to be very lenient with Hillary Clinton regarding her use of a private email server and how she handled classified information while she was secretary of state.

After Comey recommended against charging Clinton, Saucier noted, “he said that if anybody else does this, they’d be in prison.”

“I’m fighting for equal justice for everybody, I’ve already served my year in prison. President Trump has given my life back. This isn’t about money,” Saucier said about his lawsuit, speaking on Fox News Channel’s “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Thursday.

“This is me fighting for the average American citizen. You shouldn’t be subjected to a separate set of laws than Hillary Clinton or James Comey who admitted to leaking classified information to the press to try to benefit himself or it’s the same thing with Andrew McCabe,” Saucier said. “You know, these people aren’t above the law but apparently, they are. And I’m going to fight back until — you know, as long as there is a breath in me, I’m going to fight that.”

But Saucier admitted he would drop his lawsuit if the circumstances were right, something he does not have faith will happen.

“I’ll drop this lawsuit tomorrow if they restore my faith and the American people’s faith in the justice system. But I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he said.

A highly anticipated report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton probe is expected to be released on June 14 by the Department of Justice inspector general’s office and Saucier believes it will be a “bombshell.”

“What’s the potential for using what you see in there to help you with your case? What does your lawyer say about that?” MacCallum asked.

“Well, I think it’s going to be a bombshell. I think it’s going to be very revealing,” he replied.

“It’s going to show how James Comey decided, you know, who broke the law and who didn’t. He interpreted the law in a completely different way for Hillary Clinton than he did me. And that’s just upsetting,” Saucier added.

“You know, the American people should wake up every morning with faith that the justice system is going to protect them, that’s what it’s there for, not to imprison them,” he said.

“You know, the true enemy of the state isn’t the servicemen taking pictures of something that he’s proud of,” Saucier pointed out.  “It’s the people changing the laws to benefit their cronies. That’s what’s truly breaking down, you know, this country’s infrastructure. I think that’s what we need to focus.”

Saucier sees the lawsuit and the justice he is seeking to be an extension of his patriotic duty.

“When I was in the military, I fought enemies foreign and, you know,  and now I fight enemies domestic,” he told MacCallum.  “And that’s really what I believe, you know, Comey is. He’s a domestic enemy.”
