Outspoken conservative actor James Woods praised President Donald Trump on Twitter for this week’s job report, attributing the numbers to the recently passed tax reform bill, while throwing serious shade at Trump’s predecessor, former President Barack Obama.

Friday’s job report showed unemployment at 3.8 percent, which was reported to be the lowest since 2000, although Woods characterized it as the lowest in history. The actor also included a meme featuring Obama saying jobs of the past are not coming back, asking what “magic wand” Trump has to change this — which Obama actually said.
“ABRACADABRA B*TCH,” the meme screams.
“The lowest unemployment in recorded American history. Thank you, Mr. President. #TaxCutsWork,” read the caption included with the meme.

For what it’s worth, TradingEconomics.com shows the record low for unemployment at 2.5 percent in May of 1953.
Obama’s comment about a magic wand came during a PBS town hall in June 2016 when he was asked about air conditioning manufacturer Carrier announcing plans to move jobs from Indiana to Mexico.
“When somebody says like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back,” Obama said, Trump being the person he referenced.
“Well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?” he continued. “There’s no answer to it. He just says, ‘I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have?”
The response online to Woods tweet was just as epic as his slam of Obama, with social media users only too glad to pile on the former president.
Here’s a sampling of the reactions from Twitter:
Love the smug look on Placeholder President’s face.
Eight years; Zero Accomplishments.

Along with that good news: historically low black unemployment numbers. To call it remarkable is a gross understatement. Tax cuts work. The plantation gate has been forced open and its inhabitants are gleefully fleeing. Some racist, this President. Thank you! @realDonaldTrump. https://t.co/F9drpBZ9wA

A story in PR Newswire said that jobs are again looking up for entry level jobs for college grads at “Caterpillar (69%), Carahsoft (34%), Raytheon (31%), and Eight Eleven (28%) are all planning for significant hiring increases this year.”
