It sure seems like Kimmel is trying to weasel his way out of a challenge thrown down by Ted Cruz

Jimmy Kimmel can’t seem to give Sen. Ted Cruz a straight answer.

The late night talk show host has been circling the Texas senator’s challenge to square off in a basketball court for charity.

Even as news was breaking over the cancellation of Roseanne Barr’s show by ABC, liberals continued their insults of conservatives with no repercussions. Kimmel made a personal insult against Cruz after the Texas Republican posted a photo of himself at  the Houston Rockets game.

“The Rockets missed 27 three-pointers in a row last night, and I think I know why. Look who was in the crowd,” Kimmel told his audience Tuesday. “None other than basketball superfan Ted Cruz. Sporting the super-cool T-shirt-over- a-polo look. Can you be embarrassed by a picture of someone else’s dad? Because I am.”

Kimmel went on to say “some of the fans mistakenly thought it was Grandpa Munster Bobblehead Night. I mean, look at him. He looks, and I’m not joking here, he looks like a blobfish. He looks just like –Look at that. The new Rockets mascot. It’s not that surprising Senator Cruz was at the game. If anyone, anyone knows basketball, it’s this guy!”

Cruz took to Twitter to respond, inviting the TV host to join him and to “settle this man-to-man.”

Kimmel responded with a conditional acceptance.

The senator noted that “NOBODY” wants to see that and reiterated his offer.

But Kimmel, it seems, was not going to bite and continued his attempts to be funny.

Cruz had the last word, trying to keep Kimmel on point and invited him to “knock yourself out” and wear a kilt if he wished.

There has been no further response yet from Kimmel, proving again that liberals talk a big talk but rarely follow through with the walk.
