Hillary wears heavy coat and scarf in sweltering 90 degree heat … questions arise

What gives Hillary?

Failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton received a hero’s welcome Friday at Harvard as she was honored “for all of her battles, won and lost.”

But the former secretary of state appeared in a heavy coat and large scarf wrapped around her neck — as the temperature outside approached a sweltering 90 degrees.

Clinton was awarded the Radcliffe Medal, an award given annually to an individual who has had a transformative effect on society, the Boston Globe reported. She was recognized for her public service as a first lady, U.S. senator, secretary of state, and the first woman nominated by a major party for the U.S. presidency.

Adding to the intrigue, the Daily Mail reported that Clinton was photographed in the same heavy coat and scarf earlier this month and there was “an unusual bulge that some speculated is a back brace.”

The British tabloid noted that “she has worn similar outfits in public ever since.”

The mystery calls to mind the strange behavior from the Clinton campaign when the candidate nearly fainted on the campaign trail and had to be assisted into a waiting vehicle.

She was traveling with a doctor on hand, and the campaign stated after the incident that Clinton was suffering from pneumonia. That didn’t stop the wild speculation, or explain why the candidate would not just be up front about it.

Of course, there was the recent episode in India, where Clinton almost fell while walking down a flight of stairs and had to be assisted by aides.

Critics may suggest the mystery is just the Clintons ongoing aversion to the truth.

Here’s a quick sampling of the reaction online to Clinton’s appearance at Harvard, to include a little good-natured speculation about what she could be hiding under that heavy coat:
