Trump takes a detour to thank ‘fighter’ Kellyanne Conway: 5 reasons why she’s his favorite

While not his intention, President Donald Trump nailed why the left and their media allies so ferociously go after White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

Speaking at the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List event in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, the president shared what a help Conway has been, stressing he values her because she “is some fighter.”

Trump described Conway as “a beloved member of my administration, a true fighter for faith and family.”

“What a job. What a job she’s done,” he said, stepping back from the podium to applaud Conway.

And Trump wasn’t finished with his praise, suggesting Conway is his go-to source for the tough jobs.

“She is some fighter. She’ll do the shows that nobody else dares go near,” he said. “I’ll say do this one or do that one: ‘No problem, sir.’ Others say, ‘Sir do you think I could take a pass, please? I beg you, please.’”

“Great going, Kellyanne,” the president added, addressing Conway directly. “What a help, what a help.”

For as much grief as Trump gets for his treatment of women, he surrounds himself with strong women who can hold their own and are willing to fight for him, be it his daughter, Ivanka Trump, or White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

Or Kellyanne Conway.

Here’s a Top 5 of recent examples of Conway’s fighting spirit.

Conway ripped CNN’s Jake Tapper in a heated showdown after he accused Trump of lying, accusing him of grandstanding to get his words to “go viral.”

In January, Conway more than held her own against CNN’s Chris Cuomo during an interview that quickly went off the rails over illegal immigration.

“Are you making fun of the president of the United States again?” Conway told the liberal host at one point. “The guy is working and living right behind me because he got elected by the people.

And when ABC News’ Brian Ross inadvertently sunk the stock market by reporting that former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn was prepared to testify that then-candidate Trump ordered him to contact Russia during the 2016 election, Conway came forward to say his suspension was woefully inadequate.

“If Brian Ross worked for me, and I was a private employer for many years, it would not be four weeks of unpaid suspension for a guy making seven figures to lie on the air,” she told Fox Business Network.

In yet another encounter on CNN — picking up a trend? — Conway showed no mercy as she took apart host Alisyn Camerota over the infamous “Russian dossier” on President Donald Trump.

“[Hillary Clinton] was the loser, so you have to keep talking about her,” she said. “You treat her book like it is not fiction. She gets a platform on CNN plenty — and you have people from her campaign on your network for the last year to sit there and never admit they paid millions of dollars for this phony dossier.”

And who can forget when Conway let Cuomo have it when the CNN anchor brought up climate change during an interview about Hurricane Harvey disaster relief, telling him he’s “climatologist” and an “amateur” one at that.
