Rudy Giuliani gives a target end date for Mueller obstruction probe – and it’s for a very good reason

Rudy Giuliani, an attorney for President Donald Trump, said special counsel Robert Mueller could wrap up his fruitless obstruction-of-justice investigation by September 1.

The former U.S. Attorney and NYC mayor said Mueller made the admission to him two weeks ago, according to the New York Times. The end of the investigation pertains only to aspects of the obstruction probe relevant to President Trump, who is not a target of any investigation.

Giuliani said Mueller’s obstruction inquiry needs to end by September in order to avoid interfering with the midterm elections. “You don’t want another repeat of the 2016 election where you get contrary reports at the end and you don’t know how it affected the election,” Giuliani pointed out.

Giuliani pressed for an end date while negotiating whether President Trump will agree to be interviewed by Mueller. Giuliani told Mueller he would only agree to the interview if Mueller gave him an end date for his flailing investigation, and that’s when Mueller reportedly suggested the September 1 deadline.

Accordingly, Giuliani said President Trump might agree to an interview in mid-July, although nothing is set in stone.

Over the weekend, Trump demanded that the DOJ investigate whether the Obama FBI had illegally planted a spy inside his 2016 campaign in order to rig the election for Hillary Clinton, as BizPac Review has reported.

President Trump threw down the gauntlet amid growing outrage over Mueller’s sham investigation, which has cost taxpayers $10 million but has produced no evidence of collusion or obstruction.

Judge Jeanine Pirro is furious that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has not lifted a finger to clean up the corruption at the DOJ and the FBI (which he oversees). The upper levels of the DOJ and FBI are stacked with numerous Trump-hating Obama holdovers who tried to keep him from getting elected and admitted in secret text messages that they would undermine him if he did win.

“[Sessions] has done nothing to make anyone responsible for the blatant corruption, the unmistakable perjury, the in-your-face obstruction of our laws that we’ve seen play out every day,” Judge Jeanine said. “And with all the power and might of the Department of Justice behind him, he continues to do nothing.”
