Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo believes former President Obama apparently “politicized all of his agencies” with the goal of taking down President Trump.
Bartiromo and Fox News chief judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria” discussed reports by the New York Times and the Washington Post of an FBI informant who supposedly had contacts with members of President Trump’s campaign.
Napolitano agreed with Rep. Devin Nunes who said in a video clip that FBI surveillance of a political campaign funded by taxpayer dollars would “cross a red line.”
“We may be on precipice of exposing a very, very extraordinary political use of intelligence and law enforcement by the Obama Administration,” Napolitano said.
“President Obama, basically, it appears to me, politicizing all of his agencies: the DOJ, the FBI, the IRS, the CIA,” Bartiromo interjected.
“They were all involved in trying to take down Donald Trump,” she added.
Napolitano responded by referring to a “vicious” tweet by former CIA Director John Brennan aimed at Trump and his demand to investigate the FBI’s alleged informant.
Senator McConnell & Speaker Ryan: If Mr. Trump continues along this disastrous path, you will bear major responsibility for the harm done to our democracy. You do a great disservice to our Nation & the Republican Party if you continue to enable Mr. Trump’s self-serving actions. https://t.co/uAhgL6wfIC

“One of the reasons, I think, that John Brennan’s tweet was so vicious in tone, was because he does not want this behavior exposed,” Napolitano said. “He probably was behind it — and in fairness to him, it went on long before he got there and will go on long after he is gone.”
On Sunday, Trump demanded in a tweet that the DOJ investigate whether there was any politically motivated surveilling of his campaign.
I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein responded by asking for a review by the Justice Department’s inspector general.
Napolitano praised Trump for his “self-restraint,” noting that it’s the first time the president has ordered his Justice Department to do anything.
