Responding Friday morning to the latest school shooting in Texas, one virulently left-wing MSNBC political analyst exclaimed that America has “let down” the survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.
“Morning Joe” contributor Nicolle Wallace, who purports to be a Republican despite her increasingly left-wing rhetoric, made these remarks while discussing a school shooting in Sante Fe that reportedly left 10 dead, including eight students and two teachers.
She believes such shootings would magically not be occurring anymore had the survivors of the February shooting in Parkland simply gotten their way.
“[Y]ou know, I think we are way past the point of there being the right time to have this [gun control] debate. And I think we’ve now let down the Parkland students by letting another mass school shooting happen on our watch,” she said.
During another segment of the program, she likewise praised the Parkland survivors as a “brave” and “beautiful … new generation of gun activists.”
“Tell me — take me through how a day like today might retraumatize these brave and these beautiful, really inspirational …,” she said to a guest about what she described as “a new generation of gun activists.”
“To me, the Parkland students gave me hope that I haven’t had for the last 25 years around this issue,” she added.
She obviously was referring to Parkland survivors such as David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez, who’ve acquired national prominence since the Feb. 14 shooting by branding themselves as hardcore gun-control zealots (or “activists,” as Wallace would say).
It’s ironic because they’ve accomplished absolutely nothing, unless one counts besmirching the president, the National Rifle Association and all Second Amendment supporters as an accomplishment.
The one, lone Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor who has actually accomplished something — and whom Wallace was most certainly not referring to — is Kyle Kashuv.
He’s a staunch Second Amendment supporter who met with Congress earlier this year to pursue legislation that would fund school safety without interfering with the American people’s constitutional rights.
I met with 3 dem Congress members yesterday. Another 5 dems decline, where on the @GOP side no one declined, not even POTUS

Hogg and Gonzalez have themselves accomplished nothing because their demands — including that certain types of guns be completely banned in America — are untenable, not to mention unconstitutional.
The problem with them and their supporters, including Wallace, is that they have no respect for either the Second Amendment or basic facts.
The facts are that nothing that Hogg and Gonzalez have proposed would have stopped either the school shooting their experience or the school shooting that happened Friday. And no amount of butt kissing by Nicolle Wallace will change that!
