Coffee shop boots man for telling niqab-clad woman how he feels about Muslim religion. It’s all on camera.

A man was refused service in a California coffee shop after he got into with a woman who was reportedly wearing a niqab, a religious garment that only exposes the eyes.

The incident took place Friday at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, with the ugly exchange being captured on video as the man and woman, who proved to be combative herself, go at it.

The video picks up with the woman asking the man what he had said — it’s unclear what may have taken place before this.

“I said, is this Halloween or something?” the man told the woman.

“Why would you say that? What’s wrong with me?” she asked.

“I don’t know, you tell me what’s wrong with you,” he answered.

“Do you know I’m a Muslim? What’s your problem with that?” the woman came back.

“I don’t like it, that’s why,” the man answered. “I don’t like your religion, it says to kill me, and I don’t want to be killed. How’s that?”

The woman asked the man if he was “scared” of her, before asking him if he has read the Koran. With her voice rising, she asked him if he is a Christian.

“Let’s talk about your Bible,” she said, before saying Jesus said to kill those who don’t believe.

At this point the man tells the woman he doesn’t want to talk to her anymore.

“I don’t have any kind of conversation with idiots,’ he added.

As the woman tells him that he’s committing hate speech, another customer starts yelling at the man to get out, calling him a “f*cking racist.”

The two begin going at it, before the video jumps to the man talking to a woman who said she was the supervisor on duty.

(Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has over 1,000 self-owned and franchised stores in the US and 31 other countries.)

The Muslim woman is heard asking the supervisor, “Why are you not serving him?”

“Because he’s disrupting a public place and being very racist,” the supervisor replied, prompting the woman to gloat.

The nearly two-minute clip was shared by CJ Werleman, a journalist who “provides insights” on “injustices carried out against Muslims under the guise of the US’ global war on terrorism, and rising anti-Muslim discrimination.”

And while it would be difficult to condone the man’s actions, the Muslim woman was very aggressive in her reaction, to include making what may be seen as disparaging remarks about Christianity.

The video has gone viral, with the woman and the coffee shop being widely praised. The fact that the man was white seemed to dominate the news cycle, with one social media user declaring: “[H]ell will be populated by white Americans.”

The incident was immediately politicized online:

A social media user who identified as a Muslim took issue with the woman pointing her camera in the man’s face and screaming, tweeting they would “take that phone and smash it to pieces.”

Interesting enough, another user noted that the woman’s “comeback is to shit talk Christianity,” adding that she “seemed locked and loaded with those lines like she has done her own bigoted research before.”

Taking it even further, yet another said the incident “feels incredible forced… fake forced.”

“I DO NOT agree with this mans actions in any way, that said, this feels incredibly forced to me, like…fake forced. I almost expect Morgan Freeman to pop up in the next scene and make a statement about racism or something,” the tweet read.
