Don Lemon says it’s his ‘obligation’ as a journalist to call President Trump a racist

Real journalists may be hard pressed to recall being taught the principles touted by CNN’s Don Lemon who declared it is his “obligation” to call President Trump a racist.

Lemon called the president a “racist” or “racist-adjacent” at Variety’s Entertainment & Technology Summit in New York where he was a keynote speaker on Friday.

“Critical thinking is important as a journalist. If you cannot surmise that this president — if he’s not racist, he’s certainly racist-adjacent,” Lemon told the audience.”We have come to a consensus in our society that facts matter. I feel like it’s my obligation to say that.”

“If you have the evidence that shows you, that leads you to nothing else but this president being racist, then I feel it’s my obligation as a journalist to say it,” he added.

This isn’t the first time the 52-year-old CNN anchor has defamed the president as a racist. In January, shortly after another year of drunken on-air revelry for CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage, Lemon lashed out at Trump as racist for  referring to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “sh**hole countries.”

Lemon referred to Fox News as “state-run TV” at the Summit on Friday, adding that he enjoys working at CNN because he thinks Fox News and MSNBC “have picked sides” politically.

CNN, Lemon contended, has “picked the side of the truth.”

Oh the irony.
