Texas Dems say they’re sorry for the inexcusable thing they did to Melania Trump’s photo

As if we needed any more proof that Democrats lack scruples, a group of Texas Democrats reportedly shared a doctored photo from the late former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral to Facebook last week.

Members of the “Lubbock Democratic Party,” as they call themselves, posted a photo to their Facebook page a day after Bush’s funeral Saturday that showed former presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama posing alongside former first ladies Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama:

There was just one problem: The original picture also featured first lady Melania Trump standing to the left of the Obamas, meaning the photo the Democrats shared was doctored.

But why did they share a doctored photo? Perhaps because they wanted to make Melania and her husband, President Donald Trump, look bad?

When questioned by Waco station KXXV about this enormous discrepancy, the party’s vice-chair, Leo Flores, claimed it was just “an honest mistake.”

He said that he grabbed the doctored photo from his Facebook feed and shared it without doing his due diligence. He then left the photo up, despite a barrage of negative comments, because he got caught up with other work.

Flores finally posted the correct photo three days later with an attempted apology: “I apologize for the confusion. There were two pictures posted side by side and I must have grabbed the wrong one. Melania was not purposely excluded nor was this meant to be a controversial post. I meant to change it but became busy. Once again, I apologize.”

Very few people seemed to believe him, judging by the comments.

“Yeah, right!!!,,,,a mistake. Shame on you!!!” wrote Renee Lands.

“Still feel bad about losing. Using a funeral photo op. Thats low even for TX. Declasse,” added Siobhán Kern.

There’s no evidence to suggest Flores lied, save for the party’s relentless hatred for conservatives. Almost every post published since this debacle involves attacks on everyone from Fox News host Sean Hannity to commentators Diamond and Silk:

This sort of clear-cut animosity toward conservatives is exactly what one might expect from people purposefully willing to doctor a photo to attack our conservative president.

In case the Democrat group did in fact share the doctored image purposefully, it wouldn’t be a surprise. When your entire party thrives on hatred, this is exactly what happens.
