British journalist Katie Hopkins said the media must stop ignoring the mass crime wave and migrant rape epidemic roiling Sweden, because political correctness is turning the once-idyllic Scandinavian nation into a violent, third-world ghetto.
“People still imagine Sweden as this idyllic place,” Hopkins told Fox News’ Mark Steyn, who was filling in for Tucker Carlson. “I was there recently and found it to be a very different place indeed. There are about 62 no-go zones in Sweden, where the police are afraid to go, where ambulances can’t respond to emergencies, and where fire engines have to be taken by police because the fire trucks are attacked.”
Hopkins added: “So really, the gangs are establishing themselves. They are keeping the police out. And hand grenades, which you can buy for as little as $30, are being used as a kind of warning device to keep [police] out.”
For the past few years, the Muslim population in Sweden has soared after it took in scores of refugees from war-torn Middle-Eastern countries. Since then, rapes have skyrocketed, as have bombings, shootings, knifings, vandalism, sexual assault, and cars being set on fire.
Riots, violent crimes, and arson have become so commonplace in Sweden’s Muslim neighborhoods that they’re no longer “news.”

Because the politically-correct Swedes are deathly afraid of being called racist or Islamophobic, the media refuses to cover the devolution of a once-great country.
“Sweden was basically an ethnically homogenous society…[but now] Swedes are predicted to become a minority in their own country by 2050,” Mark Steyn said. “That is an extraordinary transformation.”
Katie Hopkins agreed that Swedes are killing their own culture and history with their suicidal social-welfare programs. How would someone feel if they went to visit Japan as a tourist and discovered that Japanese culture, people, and language had been subsumed by some other ethnic group? Same with India, or Egypt, or Ethiopia.
Yet that’s exactly what’s happening in Sweden and across Western Europe, which is why many now call the continent “Eurabia.”
“There is a population of about 10 million Swedes,” Hopkins said. “Irritatingly enough, Swedish people are exceptionally good-looking, and that really annoys me. They took this very perfect population, and they brought in 170,000 migrants. And those migrants were from countries that we know about.”
“We know the sort of things like go on in those countries. And then we wonder why is it that Sweden has turned into a place where Swedes themselves are desperate to leave. I hear stories all the time of Swedes that want to get out of Sweden because it is too violent.
And what really bugs me is the media will not be honest about it. They talk about these migrants, they talk about them as the ‘new Swedes.’ Well, guess what? You can’t take Mohammed, stick a blonde wig on him and turn him into a Swede. It doesn’t work like that.”
While Muslims in the United States and the Middle East have repeatedly insisted that Europe and the United States are obligated to take in hordes of refugees, the wealthy Arab nations of the Persian Gulf (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Qatar) have done next to nothing to help their Muslim brethren.
Keep in mind that in addition to providing refuge, the United States and Europe have given billions of dollars in financial aid to the war-torn Middle East. In 2015, the United States gave $419 million in humanitarian aid toward the Syrian refugee crisis, bringing total U.S. aid since the start of the refugee crisis to $4.5 billion. That is more than any country in the world.
As thanks, American flags are burned in effigy in the Middle East every day as crowds shout, “Death to America!”
Guess how many of these Syrian refugees Saudi Arabia & other Gulf states offered to take?
