Despite liberals’ outrage over President Trump’s assessment of illegal immigration from Mexico, it appears he has some left wing support.
And from right inside Mexico.

Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is Mexico’s leading candidate in the nation’s presidential election and he has a promise for President Trump., Reuters reported.
Obrador has vowed to change Trump’s perception of his country from the one the U.S. president has had since he launched his election campaign. Trump set off a firestorm in 2015 when he accused Mexico of sending rapists and drug dealers across the border and pledged to build a wall along the southern border.
Mexico’s left-wing presidential front-runner told supporters on Sunday that corrupt governments in the country were at fault for giving Trump a bad impression of Mexicans.

“He invested here in Rosarito and also in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, and because of Mexico’s corrupt governments he had to leave,” Lopez Obrador said from Rosarito in the Baja California peninsula, according to Reuters.
The candidate, who ran for president unsuccessfully in 2006 and 2012, is no fan of Trump’s but has promised the U.S. president that he is going to end corruption in Mexico if he is elected.
Lopez Obrador has a double-digit lead in most major opinion polls for the July 1 election, according to Reuters.
