Charlize Theron seems to be a contender for a Hollywood liberal award for overdramatic virtue-signaling.
The actress revealed in an interview with Elle published on Thursday that racism in America is so bad thanks to President Trump that she “might have to leave.”
“I don’t even know how to talk about the last year under our new administration. But racism is much more alive and well than people thought. We can’t deny it anymore. We have to be vocal,” she said in an interview with Chelsea Handler – which speaks volumes, right there.
The former model and mother of two adopted children, six-year-old Jackson and two-year-old August, justified her hot take because she was born in South Africa.

“Being raised during the apartheid era in South Africa made me so hyperaware of equality and human rights,” the 42-year-old actress said. “Of course, I have two black kids, but that was always something I was passionate about.”

The Oscar winner living a very privileged life in the U.S. finds it’s not just the administration that is a problem, but America itself.
“There are some places in this country where, if I got a job, I wouldn’t take it,” Theron said. “I wouldn’t travel with my kids to some parts of America, and that’s really problematic. There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I’m like, if this continues, I might have to leave America. Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe.”
“Building confidence for them right now is an oath I made to myself when I brought them home,” she told Handler.
Not likely she will be moving back to her country of birth?

“South Africa is notorious for its high crime rate, a reflection of its economic inequality and racial tension,” CNBC reported Friday. A report by Statistics South Africa revealed that only 30 percent of South Africans feel safe walking at night.
But Theron blasts the U.S. for racism which is more “alive and well” here than people know.
