Fox News’ Jesse Watters gutted competitor CNN like a fish for the news stories the rival network chooses to cover, explaining this may be why the rival network “filled with Trump hating tabloid food fights” is no real competition at all.
“Take a look at the basic cable ratings for the first quarter of 2018: Fox News number one, MSNBC number two… CNN seven,” Watters noted.
“CNN’s being beaten by channels like HGTV, Investigation Discovery and Nickelodeon. What happened?”
The inquiry comes after President Donald Trump tweeted last week about “ratings challenged” CNN, which prompted the network that’s locked in a blood feud with the president to respond.

Watters detailed recent stories CNN “has decided to own,” which include black holes potentially swallowing airliners, a discussion with a Trump-basher about whether or not he is drunk and an obsession with porn stars before comparing this to CNN’s new promo that casts the network as a paragon of journalistic credibility.
“So, CNN’s in the truth-telling business?” the Fox News host asked, before detailing a litany of recent “fake news” stories.
“What about CNN’s fake news story about [Donald] Trump Jr. coordinating with WikiLeaks,” he continued. “Or CNN’s fake video of [President] Trump feeding fish in Japan, or CNN’s fake news story about [fired FBI Director James] Comey’s testimony or CNN’s fake news story about [former White House Communications Director Anthony] Scaramucci and the Russians, which was redacted and led to three people resigning?”
Watters then played a montage to show why CNN prime time “has become almost unwatchable.”
“The bottom line is the network is filled with Trump hating tabloid food fights,” he concluded, suggesting CNN is relegated to “throwing Hail Marys because they’re in last place.”
