Late-night ABC host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel stepped in it with the LGBT crowd during a Twitter feud this week with top-rated Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Kimmel got carried away and exposed himself as a fraud by throwing gay men under the bus in order to mock his rival.
The friction began earlier in the week when Hannity rushed to first lady Melania Trump’s defense after Kimmel disrespectfully mocked her accent.
Initially, the two hosts merely exchanged scathing barbs with one another, but it quickly evolved into a full-fledged war. Conservatives naturally aligned with Hannity and liberals with Kimmel.
Friday afternoon, Kimmel made the mistake of injecting homosexuality into one of his barbs.
“Don’t worry — just keep tweeting — you’ll get back on top! (or does Trump prefer you on bottom?) Either way, keep your chin up big fella..XO,” he tweeted at 5:26 pm Friday to Hannity.

He had been trying to mock Hannity over a report that put MSNBC host Rachel Maddow ahead of Hannity in ratings for the month of march.
Instead of merely poking fun, he accused the host of being Trump’s alleged homosexual partner.
As noted by New York magazine, the terms “top” and “bottom” refer to sexual positions used by homosexual men: “For those not in the know, the bottom is, sexually speaking, the one on the receiving, or ‘catching,’ end of things.”
The outrage was swift and brutal:
So, it's OK for you to make homophobic slurs? What an asshole.

Every time a liberal wants to insult a Republican, they imply they are gay.
Never fails. https://t.co/BR5r2Gi8tO

Going to risk ruining my mentions and saying this in all-caps for the cheap seats:
MAKING THIS KIND OF JOKE ABOUT A MAN HAVING ANAL SEX WITH ANOTHER MAN IS HOMOPHOBIC, AND NOT FUNNY. THE "LAUGH" COMES FROM THE IDEA THAT GAY SEX IS INHERENTLY SHAMEFUL, AND I'M NOT LAUGHING. https://t.co/LIkA5tktum

“Stop making shi–y f—ing gay jokes. Hire me to write you better gay jokes. Hire any queer person to write you literally any other jokes,” another critic tweeted, according to The Wrap.
By attacking Melania Trump, Sean Hannity and homosexuals, Kimmel managed to offend a mighty large swath of the American populace in just one week. Talk about an impressive feat.
Interestingly, Kimmel wasn’t the only self-avowed liberal comedian to step into it this week. Comedian Chelsea Handler, whose irrational hatred of President Donald Trump and his family has been documented many times, did as well.
Take a look:
Jeff Sessions is definitely a bottom.

The backlash to her tweet was likewise swift and brutal:
thats VERY homophobic

So the joke is he's shit because he's a bottom. Because gay men who are bottoms are inferior. Funny.
So many ways to make fun of Jeff Sessions and you went with this. Dude, this just sucks.

imagine someone made a joke out the way you live your life & then claimed to be your political ally. it’s cheap, easy humor that that requires no thought or insight & is made at the expense of other people’s pain

The last tweet really nailed it.
Hint to liberal comedians: Instead of wasting so much time on social media attacking your political opponents, maybe you should spend more time writing original, creative and, preferably, non-offensive, jokes.
Just a thought …
As for Kimmel, when The Wrap reportedly reached out to him for comment, his representatives declined to respond. Apparently, Kimmel has finally shut up, albeit probably only temporarily.
