Sean Hannity leveled a blistering attack on late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel for his insulting mockery of the first lady.
On his show Monday night, Kimmel made fun of Melania Trump’s foreign accent after he played a clip of her during Easter festivities at the White House.
“Never stop exploring, ’cause life would be boring. Be clever and be curious just like a cat. Ask lots of questions about this and that,” the first lady read from a children’s book at the White House Easter Egg Roll.
“Like dis and dat,” Kimmel mocked, impersonating Trump’s Slovenian accent after he declared that she had done nothing to organize the annual event, but was instead working on an “escape tunnel” from her husband.
“Not a chance she did one thing to set that up,” Kimmel said. “She didn’t dye eggs.”
He also joked that his show’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, could now qualify to be “first lady of the United States” because of his accent – a remark met with applause by his audience.
Hannity shredded the lat-night show host during Fox News’ “Hannity” on Wednesday, calling him out as “a**clown Kimmel.”
“What a disgrace,” he said.
“That’s her fifth language,” Hannity commented directly to Kimmel. “How many do you speak?”
Hannity’s scathing rebuke of the liberal comedian, and the obvious hypocrisy of the left in mocking a woman who came to America as an immigrant, earned him a virtual standing ovation on Twitter.
