Texas official triggered by teen’s TRUMP shirt, faces charge for allegedly berating group of ‘scared’ girls

A Texas councilwoman is facing misdemeanor charges after a MAGA shirt sparked an anti-Trump outburst.

West University Place Councilwoman Kellye Burke was accused of yelling obscenities Saturday at a group of teenage girls over a Trump T-shirt, KPRC2 reported.

Investigators at the Harris County Precinct One Constable’s Office filed a “class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge” against Burke, a volunteer for @MomsDemand.

The girls, who did not want to be identified for fear of retaliation, were confronted by the councilwoman while they waited on line to buy cookies at a local shop, according to KPRC2.

“A tall, short-haired blond woman came up to them and screamed, ‘Grab em by the (expletive) girls!'” the father of one of the girls said, adding that the teens tried to laugh off the incident at first.

“Then, she yells it again!” the father said. “At that point the girls were getting kind of scared, and then the woman starts, you know, going, ‘MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!’ while shaking her fist.”

One of the teens was wearing a shirt that read, “Trump: Make America Great Again,” according to the father who added that one of the girls said Burke had taken a photo of her. The teens reportedly left without addressing Burke’s outburst.

“They were scared,” he said. “They were absolutely scared. My little girl essentially wanted to know if this woman was going to hurt her.”

The behavior was totally unacceptable to the father who condemned the councilwoman for targeting kids.

“Adults can’t behave towards children like that, period,” he said.

The father shared that Burke apologized after reaching out and meeting with him and his wife.

“We accepted her apology,” he said. “I would be just as angry if any parent said this to my child but as an elected official I’ll let her voters handle this matter.”

A KPRC2 reporter tried to speak to Burke at her home but was rebuffed.

“What are you doing at my house?” she reportedly yelled from inside.

“You know why we’re here at your house,” anchor Jacob Rascon said as Burke claimed to have no idea. “The disorderly conduct charge,” he responded.

“I’m putting my kids to bed!” she yelled. “Go away!”

Liberals launched a pitchfork and torches attack on Fox News’ Laura Ingraham for daring to “mock” Parkland teen David Hogg but are strangely quiet when a grown woman, and elected official, bullied another teen in a Trump shirt.
