‘Gun up people!’ Singer Kaya Jones’ powerful rant: ‘Had even one employee had a carry conceal …’

Singer Kaya Jones drove home an incontestable fact in a reminder to gun control advocates following the shooting at YouTube’s California headquarters.

The artist and political commentator took to Twitter to make the point again that gun control legislation can’t prevent the mentally ill or criminals from carrying out these acts.

Jones was reacting to news that San Diego resident Nasim Aghdam allegedly opened fire with a handgun at YouTube’s headquarters in San Bruno on Tuesday, wounding three people before killing herself.

Jones pointed out the obvious fact that if anyone at the company had been armed, things may have “ended differently.”

Jones reiterated the argument that no number of laws banning or controlling guns will stop criminals who, by definition, disregard laws.

The former member of the Pussycat Dolls has openly declared her appreciation and “respect” for firearms in the past.

A vocal supporter of the U.S. military, Jones was on hand as a guest of country music duo Big & Rich to honor veterans at the Route 91 Harvest music festival last October an hour before gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on the concert-goers from a hotel window, killing over 50 people and injuring hundreds of others.

Predictably, some on Twitter disagreed with the 33-year-old platinum recording artist.

Most, however, agreed with Jones and her common sense .
