CNN’s christian conservative women’s panel on Stormy backfires: ‘Whatever … we didn’t elect a choir boy’

A panel of Christian women who voted for President Donald Trump were gathered by CNN to watch and react to porn star Stormy Daniels’ “60 Minute” interview that aired on Sunday night.

The ladies seemed to agree that Daniels was “enjoying this way too much,” and were steadfast in their support for the president, understanding this story is just the latest salvo in an ongoing effort to take down Trump.

“She was shopping her story for money, just like all the other people that have tried to make money off the Trump name,” said one woman.

“I feel sorry for her. My heart hurts for her,” said another, when asked about her first impression of Daniels.

The woman echoed a sentiment held by many Americans about the source of what has proven to be a salacious allegation about Trump.

“This is a porn star, why are we giving it any credibility?” asked participant Sherry Massey. “And the fact that she now wants to come out with a story because she’s afraid of her children? My goodness, what did you tell the kiddos about your full-time job?

The women collectively doubted Daniels’ claim she had sex with Trump, insisting that the aging porn star came forward for money.

“I don’t believe it because I haven’t seen any hard proof,” said Gina O’Briant.

“Should we believe the president of the United States or a stripper, porn star?” she asked. “I go with the president of the United States.”

And therein lies the problem for too many in this country, an irrational, unhinged refusal to accept Donald Trump as commander in chief.

A position consistent with many Trump voters was voiced at the gathering, that being that he was not elected because he was a “choir boy.”

Another consistency is recognizing the ongoing media campaign to destroy Trump.

“You can throw all that stuff up in our faces as many times as you want,” Dr. Lynette Bryant said, “but that means that we’ll work harder for Trump. Is that not so, ladies?”

“That’s correct,” replied Sylvia Guzman. “This is the media defining the narrative. The people — we, the people — are ready to define the narrative. And it’s not about tawdry sexual peccadilloes.

CNN host Randi Kaye tried to prevent the ladies from tying the Stormy Daniels story into an overall campaign to destroy Trump, but the women proved to be more savvy than she may have realized.

“You’re looking for a way to impeach my president,” said Bryant, adding that she “worked very hard” for him.

Linda Churchwell summed things up appropriately when she stated, “If he slept with her, whatever. That’s between him, the Lord, and his family.”
