President Donald Trump had a ready answer Monday for Democrats who have been criticizing him for not taking action against Russia after the poisoning of an ex-spy in Britain, kicking out 60 Russian diplomats and ordering Russia’s consulate in Seattle closed.
Those expelled are being described as “aggressive intelligence collectors,” Fox News reported.
The expelled Russians, who have seven days to leave the U.S., the Associate Press reported, include 12 spies who are suspected of working under diplomatic cover at Russia’s mission to the United Nations, according to top administration officials.

The sources told AP the Seattle consulate is a counter-intelligence concern because of its proximity to a U.S. Navy base.
In addition to responding to the poisoning of the ex-spy, Monday’s actions are being taken to also send a message about an “unacceptably high” number of Russian spies in the U.S.
