George Clooney praises high school students for opposing Second Amendment

Actor George Clooney heaped praise on students from Parkland, Florida, saying their anti-Second Amendment activism makes him proud of his country again.

“Young people are taking it to the adults and that has been your most effective tool,” Clooney wrote in the Guardian. “The fact that no adults will speak on the stage in D.C. is a powerful message to the world that if we can’t do something about gun violence then you will.”

Clooney and his wife, Amal, donated $500,000 to “March For Our Lives,” a nationwide anti-gun protest where students rallied against the Second Amendment. Ironically, “good guys with guns” protected protesters at their anti-gun rallies. Let that sink in.

Clooney humored student “activists” like David Hogg, who has been elevated as the face of the anti-gun movement thanks to his eagerness to be used as a political pawn by liberal politicians and the media.

“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to point to this moment and say it belongs to you,” Clooney gushed. “Amal and I stand behind you, in support of you, in gratitude to you. You make me proud of my country again.”

The letter Clooney wrote was a response to students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who had requested an interview with him. The multi-millionaire liberal actor refused, and instead wrote the letter and threw money at their march.

Much of liberal Hollywood has expressed support for the nationwide anti-gun protests even as they rabidly churn out violent films and TV shows that have made millionaires of actors like George Clooney, who pay lip service to gun control while gleefully wielding one in his movies.

Clooney reportedly moved back to the United States last year, citing security concerns in terrorism-ravaged Britain. In other words, living behind the gated walls of his Hollywood mansion, surrounded by armed security, makes him feel safe. Go figure.

Since Clooney is praising teens for “taking it to the adults,” the new dad apparently condones being disrespectful to your parents. You know, those inconsequential people who take care of them, feed them, pay their bills, and invest financially and emotionally in their futures.

David Hogg, whose TV appearances have eclipsed the tragic deaths of his schoolmates, arrogantly said it’s up to him and his teen peers to fix America because today’s “old-ass” parents are too clueless and incompetent to do it.

“When your old-ass parent is like, ‘I don’t know how to send an iMessage,’ and you’re just like, ‘Give me the f*cking phone and let me handle it.’ Sadly, that’s what we have to do with our government: our parents don’t know how to use a f*cking democracy, so we have to.”

Hogg — who at 17 is not old enough to vote — threatened to vote out any politician who supports the Second Amendment. “Those f*ckers aren’t getting re-elected!” he promised.

If electing anti-gun politicians is the answer, how does young Hogg explain the record number of mass shootings that occurred under former president Barack Obama? If gun control is the answer, why are there so many shootings every day in Chicago and across California, which have the strictest gun-control laws in the United States?

As BizPac Review previously noted, the right to bear arms is a civil liberty guaranteed by the United States Constitution. In fact, it’s considered so important that it’s the *2nd* Amendment, right behind the 1st Amendment (the right to free speech).

Where were all the anti-gun protests during the mass shootings that occurred under Barack Obama? Remember the 2009 Virginia Tech massacre? What about the 2012 Sandy Hook shootings? Why is all this suddenly happening one year into President Trump’s tenure?

Here’s a breakdown of mass shootings by president. Notice a pattern?

  • Barack Obama (Democrat): 162
  • Bill Clinton (Democrat): 23
  • George W. Bush (Republican): 20
  • George HW Bush (Republican): 12
  • Ronald Reagan (Republican): 11
