Roseanne Barr live tweets Oscars for those who refuse to watch; even with vodka, she couldn’t take it

Roseanne Barr trolled the Oscars by urging her Twitter followers who boycotted the anti-Trump Academy Awards to read her tweets instead.

Barr, an outspoken conservative, made some hilarious observations and promoted the upcoming reboot of “Roseanne,” the hit ABC TV series she starred in from 1988 to 1997 (see trailer below).

Barr kicked off her Oscars tweet storm by saying: “If u r boycotting oscar tonight, just read my tweets instead.” She has since deleted the tweet, but we captured the screenshot.

Barr said she most looked forward to seeing her “Roseanne” co-star Laurie Metcalf, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for “Lady Bird.” Metcalf did not win, as the Oscar went to Allison Janney for the movie “I, Tonya.”

Barr also said she couldn’t wait to see the promo commercial for her “Roseanne” revival, which returns for a 10th season on March 27.

Barr said her drink of choice was vodka with homemade grapefruit juice.

At one point, Roseanne mocked Trump-hating actress Salma Hayek, whose gown “looks like a prom dress from Walmart.”

After seeing Hayek’s dress, we can’t disgree.

Barr then mocked all the men’s outfits, saying: “All the men’s pants ARE TOO SHORT!”

Barr called this one correctly too.

At one point, Barr jabbed at Trump-hating actor Patrick Stewart, saying he looks like an “alien.”

Roseanne was right on this one too:

Barr retweeted designer Christian Siriano, who dressed Roseanne’s TV sister, Laurie Metcalf, in a custom pink sequined evening gown.

At 11:39 pm ET, Barr announced that she was going into her hot tub to relax.

At 1:39 a.m. Eastern time, Barr called it a night, tweeting: “Ok, I’m out bc I can’t take any politics on this show-goodnight.”

Less than an hour later, Barr tweeted that she had seen the promo trailer for her new show and loved it: “Here’s my trailer!!! OMG what an honor-thank u ABC!”

“Roseanne” returns for its 10th season on March 27 with its entire original cast, including John Goodman, who plays Barr’s TV husband, John Conner.
