CNN hit a new low as one of its reporters called out one of the Florida school shooting survivors as a liar.
CNN’s Drew Griffin accused Colton Haab, the young JROTC member who helped shield his classmates from a mass shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last week, of lying about his encounter with the network.
This is just a lie. Repeated over and over again. And yet a lie. Facts matter. https://t.co/nzXQQ9S9u6

“This is just a lie. Repeated over and over again. And yet a lie. Facts matter,” Griffin tweeted Thursday in response to criticism of CNN in a tweet by President Trump.
Trump was reacting to Haab’s interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, as the young hero explained how CNN had scripted the town hall meeting held in Florida on Wednesday.

Haab had opted out of participating in the one-sided event organized by CNN after it became clear that he would not be allowed to speak his own words and ask his own questions.
“They had taken what I had wrote and what I had briefed on and talked about and they actually wrote the question for me,” he explained to Carlson Thursday.
CNN issued a statement essentially calling out Haab as a liar, stating that there was “absolutely no truth” to the student’s claim of scripted questions for the heavily anti-gun event and challenged Haab to appear on the air to “discuss his views on school safety,” or basically be in the hot seat of their gun control crossfire.
Griffin calling Haab a liar was rich considering his network’s track record of bias and clearly scripted town halls, which conservative columnist Michelle Malkin recounted in a piece last month.
Griffin’s journalistic credentials were on full display earlier this week when he harassed an elderly woman at her Florida home for unknowingly being the victim of Russian trolls.
The reporter publicly shamed the woman, sharing her name and exposing her home, for supposedly sharing a “Russian-coordinated event” on her Facebook page.
Griffin’s attack on Haab, a student , hero and survivor of a horrific tragedy, earned him plenty of heat on Twitter.
So youre saying that the survivor of the Florida Shooting is a liar?

Why would a student Lie after such a horrific event? MSM calling a kid a liar???

You’re calling this young hero a liar, when your filthy #FakeNews channel has done nothing BUT lie about this from the beginning.
We believe him. pic.twitter.com/KPMWuuaXvc

Are you now calling one of the Parkland Survivor kids a liar Drew? Because it sure sounds like you are.
Oh and Donna Brazile says hi……

Same kind that would attack a teenage hero and survivor of a mass shooting.

Way more inclined to believe JR ROTC hero kid than a reporter who berates elderly woman

So they lie ONLY when they disagree with your narrative?
— Pointed Commentary (@RoyCalbeck) February 23, 2018
CNN is the only one lying here.
