Chicago news station apologizes for ‘P.F. Chang 2018’ Olympic logo blooper

A local Chicago ABC affiliate issued an apology Monday for replacing Pyeongchang with “P.F. Chang” in a graphic that accompanied a Saturday report on the Olympic Games.

The P.F. Chang graphic was created for a “satirical piece,” which featured a sports anchor and asked viewers to create their own olympic sports, but it was mistakenly inserted into a straight news story broadcasted Saturday, a spokesman for WLS-Ch.7 told the Chicago Tribune.

The Chinese food restaurant chain replied in jest, clarifying that they were not in fact hosting the Olympic games.
