Former President Donald Trump campaign adviser Carter Page confirmed during a Tuesday interview that he has never spoken to Trump in his life.
When asked if he ever had any direct contact with Trump in any form — such as a phone call, email, letter or a text — Page told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he has never communicated with the president, and continued to deny reports that he worked with the Russian government.
“I never spoke with him since. I never spoke with him any time in my life,” Page said when asked by ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos.
“No emails, no text no nothing like that?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“Never,” Page responded.
Page, who advised the Trump campaign on foreign policy, became the subject of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant that the FBI sought due to claims made in the Steele dossier which said a Russian official offered Page billions of dollars to pressure the Trump administration to lift sanctions against Russia. Page has continued to deny the reports.

Trump has also previously said he never met Page, and even called him a “low-level member” of his campaign.
“I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to him. I don’t think I’ve ever met him. And he actually said he was a very low-level member of I think a committee for a short period of time. I don’t think I ever met him. Now, it’s possible that I walked into a room and he was sitting there, but I don’t think I ever met him,” Trump said in February 2017.
The FBI has reportedly been investigating Page for his possible involvement in a Russian-related espionage matter since 2013, but Page has not been charged with anything.
