Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino said the controversial memo released by the House Intelligence Committee is the most significant political scandal in U.S. history.
“I used to say it was likely one of the more consequential,” Bongino said Saturday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
“It is now the most consequential – no question – political scandal in American history,” he added.
Bongino offered his damning take on the memo and its ties back to President Barack Obama.
“Let’s be absolutely clear here what happened,” he told the Fox News crew. “The Obama team, during a critical political election, found a way to circumvent U.S. law, jump over judicial restraints, and found a way to spy on the Donald Trump team.”
An action he likened to “shredding of the Constitution.”
“Elements of the police state are already here, and they’re all here to rounds of applause by the Democrats and their media buddies,” Bongino said.
And he did not spare the media for its reaction to the memo.
“I don’t know what I’m more disgusted by, the memo or the filthy media acolytes and their liberal bootlickers pretending that there’s nothing in that memo,” said Bongino.
