Chelsea Manning’s cringe-worthy anti-cop US Senate campaign ad is wrong on so many levels!

Chelsea Manning is running for Senate, and it’s every bit as stomach-churning as you’d imagine.

The transgender former Army intelligence analyst, who served seven years in prison for leaking classified documents, released her first campaign video on Sunday.

Manning shared the video on Twitter, accompanied by the words “yup, we’re running for senate,” a series of emojis, and her trademark #WeGotThis hashtag.

Manning submitted the filing for her Senate bid on Thursday. According to the Federal Election Commission, the left-wing activist is running as a Democrat, which would pit her against incumbent Maryland Senator Ben Cardin, the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The campaign video presented a bleak tone, featuring footage of the Charlottesville riots.

“We live in trying times,” Manning said in the video. “Times of fear, of suppression, of hate. We don’t need more, or better leaders. We need someone willing to fight.”

The polemic public figure, whose prison sentence was controversially commuted by former President Barack Obama, called on Americans to “take the reigns of power” from the government:

“We need to stop asking them to give us our rights. They won’t support us, they won’t compromise. We need to stop expecting that our systems will somehow fix themselves.

“We need to actually take the reigns of power from them. We need to challenge them at every level. We need to fix this. We don’t need them anymore – we can do better. You’re damn right we got this.”

The video did not specifically mention President Trump or lay out policy proposals.

Manning has frequently made anti-law enforcement remarks on social media.

Manning’s campaign announcement was met with a wave of criticism.

Siraj Hashmi of the Washington Examiner predicted that Manning’s polarizing candidacy could hand the GOP a win in a reliably blue state.

Some Democrats echoed the belief.

Ivana Trump was asked if her ex-husband is a racist. Her answer’s about to be fodder for the haters.

Could Manning prove to be the gift that keeps on giving for Republicans?
