Senator who’s on track to raise more campaign cash than any incumbent, ever, may surprise you

The rumor mill kicked into overdrive Tuesday when it was revealed a potential 2020 presidential candidate is raking in the campaign cash.

Elizabeth Warren has become a liberal feminist icon and one of President Trump’s most vocal critics. Her bold moves have served her well, as Politico reported, “the senator is sitting on more campaign cash than nearly any other incumbent senator ever has at this point in the election cycle.”

That translates to a whopping $12.8 million, according to Politico.

Warren is expected to be a shoo-in to keep her senate seat in 2018, which is leaving many of her fans hopeful she’s raising funds for a higher office.

“Big money is already running attack ads against her, and she is and should be taking them very seriously,” Warren’s friend, former Mass. Gov. Michael Dukakis told Politico.

And Warren has reportedly amassed a small team of researchers to search her past for vulnerabilities, Politico reported. Certainly, the longtime Dem darling wouldn’t need that just to keep her seat as senator.

While speculation rises about Warren’s potential presidential run, her ongoing feud with President Trump doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.

House investigators uncover ‘smoking gun’ that FBI knew Hillary broke the law, but let her off anyway

WASHINGTON, DC – NOVEMBER 27: (AFP OUT) U.S. President Donald Trump (L) hosts members of the Native American code talkers during an event in the Oval Office of the White House, on November 27, 2017 in Washington, DC. Trump stated, “You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.” in reference to his nickname for Sen. Elizabeth Warren. (Photo by Oliver Contreras-Pool/Getty Images)

Trump recently zinged the sitting senator when he referred to her as “Pocahontas” at an event to honor Navajo code talkers.

Warren has been accused of lying about having Native American heritage in order to get a Harvard job. To date, she has never denied doing it and has earned herself the nickname “Pocahontas” from her critics. But that doesn’t seem to bother her liberal base who’s quick to call out anyone else but Warren for innocuous offenses of “cultural appropriation.”

It’s safe to assume that Trump won’t be letting Americans forget Warren’s mocking moniker anytime soon.

Meanwhile, real-life descendent of Pocahontas, Debbie “White Dove” Porreco, talked about Trump’s use of the term.

“If Pocahontas were alive today, she’d be very proud of President Trump,” Porreco said.

Warren may be building a war chest, but she’d better be prepared for an uphill battle.
