WATCH: Cookie-thieving squirrel starts New Year’s party early, charges police officers

Brockport, New York police officers responded to a break-in call on Friday, only to find a hungry squirrel eating the owner’s cookies. When authorities tried to apprehend the suspect, the squirrel gave them a run for their money.

Police body cam footage shows the animal leaping through the kitchen, even jumping on the table at one point like a trampoline to lunge at the officer’s as one screamed “whoa,” while the others can be heard laughing hysterically.
