Comedian Kathy Griffin claims she can’t do a U.S. tour “without getting shot,” even though no one has ever tried to shoot her.
Like other liberals, Griffin blames President Trump for the imaginary problems she brought onto herself.
Griffin is upset that her U.S. comedy tour was cancelled in June 2017 after a photo of her surfaced, where she mimicked an ISIS terrorist by posing with a fake severed head of President Trump.
Kathy was widely slammed amid bipartisan outrage that she was promoting violence against a United States president.
She blamed President Trump’s tweet condemning her graphic, bloody photo for why her middling career got derailed.
“I wish I could tour in the U.S. without getting shot. I know I can’t,” Griffin told Politico. “I was in the middle of a 50-city tour when the tweet happened. It was canceled in 24 hours.”
CNN also fired her as the host of its annual New Year’s Eve special, and Griffin lost an endorsement with Squatty Potty.
Griffin also claims she got death threats after the “severed head” photo went viral. Even liberals like Chelsea Clinton and Kathy’s longtime pal, CNN’s Anderson Cooper, said her photo crossed the line.
But the D-list celebrity insists it was Trump’s tweet that ruined her career. “The minute he tweeted that tweet about me, it was literally breaking news on every channel,” she recounted. “After that, I had to go offline because of the death threats.”
Griffin, who recently wrapped up a 15-country world tour, said her anti-Trump jokes thrilled foreigners.
“They were thrilled to have someone come over and make fun of Trump,” she said, ignoring the fact that comedians do that all the time both in the United States and abroad.
Griffin said she’s fighting back against President Trump by producing comedy sketches on her YouTube channel, where she regales fans with her sob stories. That’ll show him.
The only problem is, she can’t stand people who tweet at her in their “broken English.” Way to alienate your illegal-alien fans, Kathy.
“My YouTube [channel] is lit. I really do have a real story to tell,” Griffin gushed. “In my live act, I talk about the interrogation with the feds and how everybody turned on me on every platform. I still can’t tweet a picture of my new puppies without getting all hateful responses in broken English.”
